Coronavirus Deaths has become too broad of a buzzword, and has become so ubiquitous and vague it’s often meaningless. Why would anybody want to take Coronavirus Death data at face value?

By the time the Coronavirus Death data has moved down the communication chain from the field to the executive offices of institutes, through scientific advisory units and civil service departments, and out into the public domain, via press conferences and the media, the already vague figures are blurred to the point of distortion; pliable enough to make it easy for spin doctors and tabloid reporters, already blessed with metamorphic…

A Government scandal is unfolding in real-time, but we are not powerless to stop the madness. It’s time to end the lockdown, with or without Boris Johnson’s say so.

The lucky-to-be-alive, dad-again, Prime Minister has promised to set out the government’s plans to “get our economy moving” next week, but with no vaccine, there is no light at the end of the tunnel for the majority of businesses. And seemingly no lifeline for the majority of people.

As if an extra 18,000 cancer deaths — due to a downturn in referrals and chemotherapy — and an increase in domestic violence…

The December 12 general election will determine what sort of country Britain will become over the next generation. The populist right has a vision of the future it wants. This vision is intolerant, exclusionary, and backward-looking, but it is presented as a strong, nationalist alternative to the current liberal status quo, and it is disturbingly compelling.

Down a flight of stairs on a street in South Kensington, West London is the temporary office of a self-styled climate activist by the name of Felix; a native of Berlin, former hospital porter, member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, and organiser…

Ridgerock Entertainment Group, an independent production company with a proven track record of creating and developing major feature films with great commercial success, is raising private equity for one of Hollywood’s most-anticipated future movie projects.

It is an opportunity for investors and outsiders to get a slice of a potential blockbuster movie, and get involved at an early stage of development.

The project created a strong buzz when it was discussed at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month, and Ridgerock are working with a couple of different equity groups on the financing, as well as being in the…

“another woman…another bike” by Donatella Marraoni

Some say that life is a full circle and that there are patterns which emerge in one’s life, circling and returning anew.

She was made of beautiful circles; her come-to-bed dark brown saucer eyes, the colour of Jack Daniels, Topaz earrings, flowing black corkscrew curls and legs to die for; lean and slim and caramel, peddling that old Belgravia like she didn’t have a care in the world.

The beer bottle tops in the spokes twinkled like diamonds and I was transfixed. It was around 3 pm. She was always on time and I was always sat here, same table…

Is lifestyle brand Best Self’s “Weekly Action Pad” one of the biggest rip off products of all time, or just great marketing? You be the judge.

“Holy crap, did this just really happen?” is the title of lifestyle brand Best Self’s email marketing campaign. My sentiments exactly after being tricked into buying their best selling product, the Weekly Action Pad aka “One Page Success Tool.”

The Weekly Action Pad aka “One Page Success Tool” is basically an A4 ruled refill pad, the kind of thing you can buy for a quid, or less, at newsagents and office suppliers.

Only Best…

By artist Neoh, a keen campaigner of mental health issues in society. New Inn Broadway, Shoreditch, London, UK. Taken July 2016.

Widespread shortages of specialist nurses and psychiatrists, chronic stress among social workers and failings of mental health charities is deepening the chasm between the government’s so-called ambition for the care of people with mental health needs and the reality of services they are receiving on the frontline. It’s a perfect storm that will end in more tragedy.

Mental health knows no boundaries of race or education; there was a prominent story in the Washington Post of a homeless man with schizophrenia who told a judge that he didn’t need a lawyer, that he was a lawyer. …

The statue of the goddess Minerva was enclosed in a courtyard water garden in which nothing grew but weeds and Chinese vines, tangled around fallen stone lanterns and the remnants of an ornamental pond.

Henry balanced in the courtyard entrance, high in the vaulted ceiling. His dark eyes were hooded, as if he concealed some secret knowledge, and as he peered down he saw the crystalline structure sparkle in the September moonlight.

It was three in the morning, not a usual time for people to be out on the street. Nonetheless, a diminutive woman, dressed in black with ghostly wisps…

Snapchat, best known for its self-deleting messaging service and augmented reality selfie filters, is investing in becoming a reliable source of news by employing real life editors and journalists, while Facebook continues to eliminate human resources and replace them with Artificial Intelligence (AI); a dangerous precedent and a portent of things to come.

In my short story The Cort Syndrome, by the year 2035, journalism and marketing, professions had ceased to exist; at least in the way most of us would remember them. …

No one is more insufferable than he who lacks basic courtesy.

This is an angry rant, but let’s get one thing straight — it’s not about people wasting my time, or giving me the wrong answer, or not showing me love, or the money. Neither is it an attack on the unintentionally thoughtless ones; for those poor souls I have some tolerance (some rude people are actually a mess inside LOL). What this is, is a denunciation of those who know they lack basic courtesy, and don’t give a damn — the professionally rude.

Communication has never been easier or…
